About the Presenter
Kay Coulter, CRNI is a nationally recognized Infusion Therapy clinician who has practiced nursing for 39 years, with a special focus on infusion for the past 29 years. As a Co-founder and the Executive Director of Infusion Knowledge, Inc., she focuses on CRNI Review, I.V. Therapy (general & advanced), PICC-Midline Qualification, Pain Management, Medical Errors Reduction, and Quality Improvement Programs. Kay is a practicing clinician and professional nurse consultant who is qualified as an expert witness on clinical infusion therapy nursing matters.
As an education consultant Kay has trained numerous healthcare providers in the importance of quality I.V. Therapy, Pain Management, and PICC-Midline Venous Access. Her background includes acute care, long-term care, and home infusion. She earned her infusion certification in 1987 and has presented numerous seminars to professional nursing staff in the classroom and continuing education settings. Her reputation, as a quality infusion therapy educator, is well known on the local, state, national level, and now international level. She is a personable and experienced facilitator.
Publications of her work have appeared in the Journal of Intravenous Nursing, Home Infusion Therapy Magazine, INS Newsline, and Vital Siqns. Kay has also contributed to books on I.V. techniques and is considered an expert in her field.
